How did you get started in this business?
Some would call it chance, however over time I’ve come to find that may have just been pure luck. I was introduced to a recruiter while in search of a job position in an office environment. I was well presented, and eager to start in a new industry learning something new. The recruiter interviewing for the position offered me the job on the spot, and I then began filing paperwork in the closing department of my first mortgage company. That being a starting position, which allowed me to learn the basics of this new and exciting financing industry… although in reverse order from a typical loan process start to end, as we all know closings to be the last step in a home financing process. Within a few weeks I was given a better opportunity by a supervisor within the company, moving me into the IT department. I had extensive training classes on computer DOS programs then, but this company just recently rolled out a windows-based platform that needed training throughout the 5,500 employees within the organization. My responsibility was to learn the program used to originate, and in turn train within on how to properly originate loans back then. I guess you could say that I learned the in’s and out’s from a data input side, which can definitely be an advantage to originating loans, even in today’s environment.
What services do you provide?
We offer financing on a vast scale of loan programs available, unique in all aspects of a potential consumer looking for home financing. Whether it be a residential loan for a single-family home, to condominium properties, also allowing for multi-family and manufactured home financing. There are programs that allow for both traditional and non-traditional credit qualifying opportunities as well. If there is a way to qualify consumers within our financing means industry-wide, chances are we can offer a program that fits your needs.
Do you help clients who only have a lot of money?
Quite the contrary, as we are one of only a few lenders currently offering (DPA) Down Payment Assistance programs, which allow for consumers to put little to nothing down on a home. It opens the window of opportunity for more people to, as we say, “Live the American Dream!” and start building wealth and equity through real estate. Helping families buy their very first new home has become a true passion of mine.
What about international clients?
We do have financing options that allow for foreign nationals to invest in real estate within the United States, so yes, if you fit within the credit qualification minimum standards, we can also help out those without full citizenship as well.
Where are you located?
My own residence is within the Pinecrest area, and I am working out of an office located in Kendall currently. However, I am in the process of new construction as I am expanding to a new office that will be located in the Pinecrest area near where I live. My main focus is within the South Florida Territory from a physical location standpoint.
Does this mean you only help people in the Pinecrest and Kendall area?
My license allows me to originate within the state of Florida, so I am not restricted to any specific area within this state. My company is licensed in all 50 states, so essentially my organization can assist with financing anywhere in the United States.
What sets you apart?
I am asked this question quite a bit to be honest. We as a society have options, TONS of them…from things as simple as going to the grocery store and walking down the laundry isle to find yourself choosing from 30+ different brands of products, leaving you unsure which is best for you. What separates myself from everyone else, can be compared to reading the Nutritional Facts on the back of your product, as you are able to see in black and white what portion is good for you, and what can be seen as bad based on your ‘home diet’. I am very transparent, so what you see is what you get. I also know the importance in detail, and ensuring those with little knowledge of the financing terms used, and what it all really means, so I take that extra few steps in making sure that all of my clients understand the bigger picture so you can better determine what makes sense for you and possibly your family as well.
How can you help my clients?
I like helping people in general, not every conversation has to lead to a closed deal, or money in my pocket. I truly find a great passion in working with others and educating consumers on what it takes to qualify for a home loan. Giving advice and being able to offer you more knowledge than when you started on the financing venture, has become something I am grateful to give to others at the end of each and every day. I would consider myself a great listener, an even better problem solver, and a true “go-getter” in all aspects, therefore if there’s a will, rest assured I will find a way! And the best means of helping your clients, in my opinion, is by finding them that way!
