About three years ago, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life. With a five-month old in tow, in the middle of complete house remodel, and an empty client list, I decided to open my own practice… and it was one of the best choices I have ever made. Not only did it bring me closer to home (and thus, my son) but it gave me the freedom to run my practice the way I wanted to; It allowed me to take the clients I wanted, to quote the prices I felt were fair and reasonable; and it granted me the opportunity to make a difference in so many lives.
I’ve always loved being a lawyer and helping people, but (to be completely honest) it didn’t feel as rewarding as it has the last three years. These last three years I’ve met so many families dealing with grief, or with incapacitated relatives. I’ve met families planning for their future and I’ve met individuals on their death bed praying someone would come to their bedside to help with their last wishes. I’ve held little hands, and dying hands… and it has all impacted me more than I could have ever imagined. I am so grateful for the individuals who have entrusted me with these extremely sensitive issues and appreciate all the testimonials they’ve willingly left on my webpage and social media.
I also want to thank my mother and father who were ready and able to lend me money to get me started and whom (Thank God) I’ve never had to borrow a penny from. I’d also like to thank my son, who inspires me and motivates me every day to do better, be better (and swear less, cause man he repeats everything!), and who was the #1 factor in my decision to open the doors of Irama Valdes, PA.. And lastly, I am so grateful to God for my health. I pray to stay strong and healthy so I can continue being the mother I am to my son, and the lawyer I am for my clients.
