Janessa Alfonso is an associate at Irama Valdes, P.A.. Ms. Alfonso is a Miami native who has dedicated her life to learning and helping others. She graduated cum laude from Florida International University (FIU) in August 2016, where she majored in criminal justice and minored in psychology. While at FIU, Janessa was also a proud member of the cheerleading team and helped to rally support for the school’s sports programs. During her undergraduate years, Janessa worked in an elementary school classroom with students who had emotional behavior issues, gaining valuable experience and insight into the importance of education and support for children in need.
Following her undergraduate studies, Janessa continued her studies at Florida International University School of Law to pursue a law degree. Janessa received her Juris Doctor in December 2020. Janessa began her legal career at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, working with the child support program. However, she later decided to focus on her passion for probate, guardianship, and estate planning.
